This Privacy Policy describes how Ebosi ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Ebosi mobile application (the "App") for ride-hailing and delivery services.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email, phone number, and profile photo provided during sign-up via Clerk.
• Location data: precise GPS location while the app is open and during active trips, used to match you with drivers, display the route, and calculate fares.
• Payment information: payment method details are collected and processed by our payment providers, Stripe and Paystack. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Camera and photo library: used to capture or attach photos for parcel pickup/drop-off proof, receipts, and card scanning.
• Notifications: device push tokens used to send trip and delivery updates.
• Device information: device model, OS version, and app version for diagnostic and security purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate ride-hailing and delivery services.
• To match riders and senders with nearby drivers.
• To process payments and issue refunds.
• To send service-related notifications.
• To provide customer support and investigate disputes.
• To prevent fraud and ensure safety.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to operate the service:

• Drivers: your name, pickup/drop-off locations, and contact number for the duration of your trip.
• Service providers: Clerk (authentication), Stripe and Paystack (payments), Google Maps (routing and geocoding), Neon (database hosting), and Expo (app infrastructure).
• Legal authorities: when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and trip data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 7).

5. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Payment details are tokenized by Stripe and Paystack and never stored in plain text on our servers.

6. Children's Privacy

Ebosi is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
